Carlton Walker

Carlton Walker, 83, of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Presbyterian Home. He was born on January 17, 1938 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Mack J. Walker and Ola Mae Luke Walker. Mr. Walker was a barber for 58 years, who loved to go bowling, or quail hunting. He loved being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren, entertaining and having Sunday dinners. Mr. Walker enjoyed fishing Little River, working in his yard, and going to the beach. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Walker is survived by his children, Dianne (Butch) Reese, Tony (Terri) Walker, Raymond (Darlene) Walker, Eric Walker, and Amiee (Tommy) Hopkins; his grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Reese, Jason (Louise) Reese, Bryce Walker, Lorali Godwin, Kiera Godwin, Scarlett Hopkins, and Sierra Walker; his great grandchildren, Alex (Sadie) Kurtz, Brooke Reese, Brandon Reese, Cheyenne Reese, Jeremy Reese, William Reese, Lily Morgan, and Waylon Kurtz; nieces, Barbara Tomlinson, and Linda Grammer; and nephew Terry Grammer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruby Nell McGill Walker, granddaughter Syndi Walker, great granddaughter Brittany Reese, brother Julian Walker, sister Vera Mae Wagonhoffer and niece Carolyn Walker.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Taylor officiating.
