CARLOS LARRY CREWS, 62, of Valdosta died Thursday, November 10, 2005. He was born in Blackshear on September 27, 1943 to the late Carlos Charlie and Annie Lou Jordan Crews and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Crews was employed by Wild Adventures and had served as a notary public. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Crews of Valdosta, two stepsons and stepdaughter in law, Andy and Tracie Perry of Brunswick, Aubrey Perry of Iraq, stepdaughter and stepson in law, Amy and Steve Horne of Lafayette, LA., three stepgrandchildren, Stephen Horne and Morgan Horne both of Lafayette, LA., Justin Howard of Lake Park, three sisters and brothers in law, Victoria and David Burke of Valdosta, Joanne and Darrell Ogerly of Jesup, Judy and T.J. Stubbs of Vicksburg, MS., one brother and sister in law, Anthony and Darlene Crews of Jesup, his mother in law, Lillian Ratliff of Perry, Fla., sisters in law and brothers in law, Virginia and Dub Cruce, Gladys Sadler, Anita Hudson all of Perry, Fla., Christine and Rick Sharp of Decatur, AL., Thelma and Jerry Etheredge of Sylvester, brothers in law and sisters in law, Broward and Sidney Ratliff of Panama City, Fla., Larry and Gay Ratliff of St. Augustine, Fla., Frank and Martha Ratliff, Doyle and Bonnie Ratliff all of Perry, Fla. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Mae Ferrell.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, November 13, 2005 at the Twin Rivers Baptist Church Cemetery in Hortense, Georgia with the Rev. Jerry Etheredge officiating.
