Carl Naaman (Butch) Peters, Jr.

Mr. Carl Naaman (Butch) Peters, Jr. 72, of Hahira passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1949 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Carl Naaman Peters, Sr. and Kathryn Elaine Robinson Peters. Butch worked at the Kennedy Space Center for civil service in mechanical maintenance. He served in the United States Army for almost seven years during which time he served two tours in Vietnam. He was a crawl tractor operator and bulldozer operator while in the Army. Butch enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Braves baseball games.
He is survived by his sister, Suzanne Peters Blackburn of Pensacola, FL, his children, Melinda Brock of Lakeland, GA, Tommy Brock of North Carolina, James Brock (Teresa) of Danielsville, GA, Steven Brock and Michael Brock of Hahira, Tanya Samaniego (Hector) of Atlanta and Anne Marie and Savas Kalanarhos of Winston-Salem, NC, fourteen grandchildren, niece, Dawn Von Stein (Mike) of Pensacola and two great nieces, step brothers, Paul Lesinski (Claire) of Clearwater, FL and Tom Lesinski (Karen) of Clermont, FL.
Mr. Peters will be cremated and no services will be held. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
