Carl Eugene Shelton

Carl Eugene Shelton, 86, of Valdosta, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1935 in Tuckerman, AR to the late Steve and MayBell Williams Shelton. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was employed at PCS Chemical in maintenance. He enjoyed woodworking, animals, and just riding around in cars. Carl enjoyed making others laugh and was a great storyteller. He dearly loved his family, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Shelton, of Valdosta; two daughters, Kathleen Shelton of Oklahoma City, OK, Debbie Death of Statenville; three sons Stephen Shelton of Michigan, Timothy Shelton and Mark Shelton, both of Oklahoma City, OK; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Dodero, of Wyoming, and Sheila Bostick, of Statenville; a stepson, Glenn Umberger, Jr., of Valdosta; and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Carl Eugene Shelton, Jr. and Scott Shelton, two brothers and two sisters.
