C. Tod Edwards

C. Tod Edwards, 59, of Valdosta, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 1, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Albany, GA, on February 22, 1964, to Sylvia McDaniel Edwards and the late Charles Akridge Edwards. Tod was a radio announcer for over 20 years, having worked for 92.9 and FM96. He called the play by play for the Valdosta Wildcats and was a former Wildcats player himself. He enjoyed vacationing at Keaton Beach, FL, and participated in local charity events. He enjoyed spending time with his family and Great Dane, “Oliver”. He loved large breed dogs and was a man with a big heart.

Tod is survived by his mother, Sylvia Edwards, of Valdosta; sister, Jane (Jason) Daniels, of Valdosta; nephew, Jacob Daniels, of Valdosta; niece, Jenna Daniels, of Valdosta; mother-in-law, Pat Fitchjarrell, of Douglasville, GA; brother-in-law, John Fitchjarrell, Jr., of Marietta, GA; and friend Susan Ashwell., of Lake Park. He was preceded in death by his father, and his wife, Wanda Edwards.
