Burley Lude Lehman, Jr., 84, died on Friday, February 24, 2006, at his home in Emerson. Son of the late Burley Lude, Sr., and Lena Cribbs Lehman, he was born in Hahira on June 19, 1921. Formerly of Valdosta, Mr. Lehman was in the U.S. Navy Reserves, was a Butcher and Market Manager with Harveys’ for 25 years. He was a member of Grassdale Church of God in Cartersville.
Survivors are his wife, Judy Kiser Lehman of Emerson, daughters, Kay Lehman of Valdosta, Lydia Lehman and Lara Lehman of Emerson, a son, John Stephen Lehman of Montgomery, Alabama, grandchildren, Kerry and his wife Michelle Waters and Nicky Brooks of Valdosta, Christopher Lehman and Matthew Lehman of Montgomery, Alabama, five great grandchildren, sisters, Leona Walker of Sugarland, Texas, Chrystel Reid of Marietta, Billie Ann and husband, Ed Grantham of Tallahassee, Florida, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vaughn Lehman.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. Reverend James Kiser, Reverend Virgil Brooks, and Reverend Leonard Harnage will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
