Bryce Bobbitt, 10, of Lake Park, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, October 8, 2010, at South Georgia Medical Center. Bryce was born on December 2, 1999 in Macon.
Bryce always had a beautiful smile. He had a beautiful spirit that was uplifting, a positive outlook, and he was always happy. Bryce touched and impacted everyone around him and was a blessing not only to his family, but to everyone he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed, but it's a joy to know he is running around in Heaven.
He is survived by his parents, Eve and Tony McGuire of Lake Park, and Jay Bobbitt of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Brandon and Ethan of Lake Park; two sisters, Mackenzie and Ava of Lake Park; he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his baby brother, Joseph; maternal grandparents, Gina Whilden of Lake Park; Johnny and Dona Brady of Perry, FL; paternal grandparents, Anna and Ashley McDonald of Lake Park, Jimmy and LeAnn Bobbitt of Montgomery, AL; maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Cone of Lake Park, Carolyn Brady of Valdosta; Bryce's "Granny and Papa", Sherry and Kenny Hammock of Echols Co., special friend, Muriel Harper of Echols Co.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services for Bryce will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, with Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
