Bryce Alan Conway, 54, of Valdosta, left this Earth May 20, 2011 after a long illness.
Born February 22, 1957, he was raised by two loving parents, Dorothy Smith (Huguley) Conway and the late Mavis Lindon (M.L.) Conway. He graduated Valdosta High School in 1975, then faithfully served his country in the National Guard and Army, from which he received and honorable discharge. For over 20 years, he worked as a truck driver, a job which he thoroughly enjoyed. Throughout his life, his caring heart was a credit to those who loved and raised him. He always had a smile and a story for anyone who crossed his path, and he was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Despite various hardships he experienced in is life, he came to have a personal relationship with Jesus before his demise.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Henry Grady Smith, Sr., Vuri Whitefield Smith Huguley, Jack Earl Huguley, James Elmer Conway and Oneta Wicker Conway, and his father, Mavis Lindon (M.L.) Conway. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Smith (Huguley) Conway, his brother, Douglas Conway, his son, Trever Conway, and his daughter-in-law, Christina Conway.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Sunset Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Morgan officiating. Bryce’s family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
