Brian W. Bennett

Brian W. Bennett, 52, of Sylva, NC and formerly of Valdosta died Friday, October 9, 2015. He was born in Valdosta on April 10, 1963 and had lived in North Carolina for the past fifteen years. Brian was a Methodist and loved to hunt, fish and Valdosta State University Blazer Football.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Bennett of Valdosta; his sister and brother in law, Lisa and Gary Spells of Valdosta; his brothers and sister in law, Danny and Marie Bennett of Panama City, FL, Scott Bennett of Valdosta; his niece, Rebecca Bennett of Panama City, FL; great nephew, Daniel Bennett of Panama City, FL; sweetheart and caregiver, Teri Hamilton of Sylva, NC; bonus mother, Ruby Hamilton of Sylva, NC; his aunt and uncles, Sarah and Lawrence Nelms of Clayton, GA, L. Harry Reid of Richmond, VA; several cousins; beloved pet, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Bennett and his brother, Dr. Fred Bennett.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1pm until 2pm at the Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 307 E.
