Brenda Turner Selph

Brenda Turner Selph, 59, of Lake Park, died at home on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Born in Valdosta on May 1, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Nettie Brady Turner. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ricky Shiver of Lakeland; sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Billy Tucker of Valdosta, Carolyn Dixon and Joanne Thornton, both of Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Marilyn Turner of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jordanlyn Willis, of Dasher, Nicky, Breanna Shiver, all of Lakeland; devoted special friend, Leonard Thornton, Jr.; a number of nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Turner.

Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in the chapel of McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Dr. Henry Cannington, Mr. Johnnie Quarterman and Mr. Benny Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
