Brenda K. Stalvey of Fort Walton Beach, FL and formerly of Hahira, GA died Monday April 22, 2019 at her home. She was born in Quitman on August 1, 1946 to the late Ewart and Vera Mae Parker and had lived in Hahira all her life until moving to Ft. Walton Beach in November of 2015. Mrs. Stalvey was a Primitive Baptist. She loved her family, pets, and flowers and thoroughly enjoyed fishing, music, playing poker, reading, and volunteering at the animal shelter.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Missy and Lane Brooks of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Rhonda Stalvey Carlsen of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Haley and Nick Clark, Brandon Gross and Madison Shaffer, and John Crosby and his fiancé Shelby Hart; her great-grandchildren, Anna Lynn Clark, Johnny Gross, Brantley Gross, and William Benjamin L. Crosby; her sister Maxine Hill of Moultrie, GA; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny G. Stalvey, her brother Dennis Parker, and her daughter, Robbie Crosby.

A “Celebration of Life” service will take place on Saturday, May 18th at the New Friendship Church Dining Hall located at 6571 Union Road, Hahira, GA from 1 to 3 pm. A late lunch will be served.
In lieu of flowers, money, cat and dog food donations will be accepted at the celebration for the Lowndes County Animal Services and Panhandle Animal Welfare Service (PAWS) located in Fort Walton Beach.
