Brenda Grace Smith Lehman

Brenda Grace Smith Lehman, 64, of Valdosta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Archibold Medical Center, Thomasville, after a long illness.

She was born November 29, 1948 in Valdosta, a daughter of the late Douglas H. and Grace Bradley Smith. Brenda graduated from Valdosta High School with the Class of 1966. She was a member of New Testament Christian Center, Madison, FL, and loved Jesus. She was a kind, gentle woman and put the needs of others before her own.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; being a homemaker and always taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed their activities, they were the highlight of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Lehman; one son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Lori Lehman; one daughter, Heather Lehman, all of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Justin Lehman, Halle Grace Lehman, Dawson, Sawyer and Easton Lehman; one great-grandson, Markus Lehman; a sister, Beth Graham of Valdosta; a brother, William (Billy) Smith of Valdosta; three sisters-in-law, Martha and husband Eddie Roberts of Lake Park, Betty and husband David Lightsey of Valdosta, and Shirley Lehman of Valdosta; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Brian Lehman.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Lehman will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with her husband Pastor Tim Lehman, Pastor Brian Gay, and Pastor Pat Doyle officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery, Hahira. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
