We are deeply saddened to announce the passing Brandon “Seth” LaVon Jarvis-Mixer a beloved son, brother, and friend who left us far too soon at the age of 16. Brandon was born on November 11, 2007, and went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on February 12, 2024. Brandon lived in Summerville, SC and was born in Valdosta, GA. Brandon was a dedicated hard worker who poured his heart and soul into everything he did. His passion for ROTC and DRILL was evident to all who knew him, and he was always eager to push himself to new heights in pursuit of his goals. Brandon was looking forward to his future and had goals to attend The Citadel and join the United States Marine Corp. Brandon was more than just a dedicated student and hard worker. He was also known for his impeccable sense of style and sharp dressing. Whether he was donning his uniform for ROTC or dressing up for a special occasion, Brandon always looked his best and carried himself with confidence and grace. Brandon was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Summerville and was very dedicated to seminary.
In his short life, Brandon touched the hearts of all who knew him with his infectious smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his passions. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Brandon is survived by his parents Teresa Marie Jarvis and Christopher Mixer; his stepfather Robert Wiggins; his siblings Cheyanne Jarvis, Laedon Wiggins, Addelynn Wiggins, and Kaebrein Jarvis; his grandparents Elizabeth Jarvis, Robert Jarvis and Emma Mixer; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brandon is preceded in death by his brother Triston Hunt; his aunt Anamarie Cooksey; his great grandparents George and Ollie Bryner and Patsy and Earl Jarvis.
In South Carolina A Visitation will be held for Brandon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints on Saturday February 17, 2024, at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. 2100 Bacons Bride Road, Summerville, SC.
In Georgia a visitation will be held Monday February 19th at 10am at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located on 2500 Jerry Jones Rd. The burial will be held at 11am at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Section F101, block 15. Lowndes County, Valdosta, GA. 1100 N. Oak Street.
