Brandon (Brad) Robert Weaver, 26, of Mayday, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 19, 2009. He was born on June 3, 1982 in Valdosta. Brad was a free spirit and loved spending time with his children, friends, and family. He loved fishing and spending time at the river. Brad had a big heart and was always happy; he was kind and polite to everyone. He also loved riding his four-wheeler with his children. Brad was a member at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Brad is survived by his children, Gage Weaver of Statenville, Brailey Weaver and Brandon Weaver, both of Valdosta; his mother, Lynnette Weaver of Mayday; his father, Gene H. (Bubby) Weaver, Jr. of Jasper, FL; step-father, Tony Martin of Mayday; sister, Jeannie Weaver-Simpson and her husband, Brent of Mayday; brother, Colt Keller-Weaver of Jasper, FL. He is also survived by his grandparents, Bobby and Montez Howell of Mayday, Gene and Billie Weaver, Sr. of Statenville; great grandmother, Frankie Howell of Mayday; niece, Hali Simpson of Albany; best friend, Alan Hughes of Statenville and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services for Brad will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Countryman, Pastor Wayne Boykin, and Pastor Joey Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
