Brady Elton Jordan

Brady Elton Jordan was born on Feb 28, 1931 in Hahira, Ga. He went to be with Jesus on Sept 11, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Jesse and Ora Belle Jordan, and Siblings Jim, Chester, Amos, Ray and John Jordan, Maytrelle Avery, Mamie Belle Wiley, Inez Tidwell, and Gladys Tomlinson. His survivors include his wife of 60 years Marcia, Children: David Jordan of Hahira, June Jordan O'Neal (Hank) of Macon Ga. and Granddaughter Shamekia Towns of Macon Ga. Siblings: Beloved Twin Brother and best friend, Grady Jordan of Pickens, South Carolina and Effie Bullington of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, and daughter in love, Ellen Carlo.
He was a member of The Hahira United Methodist Church, The Willing Workers Sunday School Class, The American Legion and The Emmaus Community. He loved building things including the home that he and Marcia lived in for 60 years, mowing grass, and putting together go carts and scooters. He enjoyed blizzards, peach shakes, chocolate, everything Marcia cooked and pimento cheese.
He served in the Korean War and was awarded 8 medals of honor. He worked at Metal Products in Adel, Georgia, for 36 years and volunteered at the Hahira United Methodist Church for 20 years as lawn service director and handy man. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. John Anderson and his staff for their care of Mr. Jordan during his illness.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira from 6-8 PM. The service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Hahira United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Davis and Rev. Lyn Hurley will officiate. Burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: The Mentors Project of Bibb County – PO Box 13750- Macon, GA 31208, in order to offer hope to children living in poverty.
