Bonnie Sherman Norwood

BONNIE SHERMAN NORWOOD, 60, of Valdosta, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Middletown, NY on February 29, 1948 to Mary Truex Sherman and the late George Sherman. She moved to Valdosta in 1980 from Denver, CO.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Norwood of Valdosta, her mother, Mary Sherman of Middletown, NY, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Leigh Robert and Amy Struble of Valdosta, and Danny and Stephanie Struble of Athens, two grandchildren, Layton and Chloe Struble, five brothers, George R. Sherman, Jr., Thomas Sherman, Bobby Sherman, Tom Tyler Shoemaker, all of Middletown, NY, and Gregory Sherman of Cincinnati, OH, one sister, Mary Wiltshire of Charleston, SC, many nieces and nephews, two step-daughters and their husbands, Penny and Jim Wilhoite, and Susan and David Williams and their daughter Jade, all of Valdosta, and two step-sons, Joey Norwood and wife Kathy of Pinetta, FL, and Davey Norwood of Atlanta.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, May 8, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. David Hibberts. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
