Bonnie Peck Rogers, 77, of Lake Park, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Born on November 07, 1941, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Raymond H. Peck and Myrtle Pearle Hoffman Peck. Mrs. Rogers and her husband, the late Elmer Rogers, moved to Valdosta in 1966 and opened Elmer’s Tire Country. She was a member of Lake Park Church of God where she loved her church family. Mrs. Rogers spent hours crocheting. She was an avid fan of The Young and The Restless and loved to watch the Price Is Right. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she was fond of all children and loved to spend time with family and friends.
Survivors are her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Hickman, son, Raymond (Emmie) Rogers all of Lake Park; grandchildren, Cindy Tillery, Chris (Sara) Rogers, T. J. (Ashley) Daugherty, Tim (Stevie) Daugherty, Robert Daugherty, Sayza Corbett, Chris Councillor all of Valdosta; eleven great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Loretta. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Elmer, a son, Buddy Rogers, great grandson, Tristan Rogers, two sisters, Sheila McDonald, and Rosa Lee Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Lake Park Church of God with Reverend Keith Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Church Cemetery.
