Bonnie Gerlock Murajda

Bonnie Gerlock Murajda, 67, of Bogart, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Oconee County. Born on October 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Donald Emory Gerlock, Sr. and Josephine Reddick Gerlock. Bonnie was a dance instructor and owner of Gerlock Dance Studio for many years until selling the family business to her cousin. For the next seven years she taught Middle School in Athens, Georgia.
Survivors are her husband, James Murajda of Bogart; daughters and sons in law, Honey Hatcher Coppage and Mark of Valdosta, Josie Hatcher Olszewski and Ski of Valdosta, Sherry Murajda-Murvin and Robert of Goldsboro, North Carolina; sons and daughters in law, Todd Emory Hatcher of Marietta, Paul Bennett Hatcher, III and Christie of Valdosta, Terry Murajda of Athens; grandchildren, Tyler Coppage, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Stone, Bennett Hatcher, Carson Hatcher, Davis Emory Hatcher, Caroline Spencer Hatcher, Amanda Lee Murvin; brother and sisters in law, Dr. Gregory Alan Gerlock and Myra of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Judy Anderson Gerlock of Daytona Beach, Florida. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Donald Emory Gerlock, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. Reverend Bob Moon will officiate. Committal will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
