Bonnie Corrine "Aunt Bonnie" Grubbs

Bonnie Corrine "Aunt Bonnie" Grubbs, 102, of Lake Park, died on Monday, April 06, 2015 at Lakehaven Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born on September 20, 1912 in Lewisburg, Tennessee to the late R.O. and Nora Elisor Williams. She moved with her family to Bell Buckle, Tennessee when she was nine years old and lived there until 2000. She then moved to Lake Park to be closer to family and was an active member in the local community. She was an avid Braves fan, loved to sew and quilt, and was known as "Aunt Bonnie" by everyone. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a faithful member of Lake Park Church of Christ. She enjoyed sending special cards for all occasions to all of her church family.

Survivors include: Mary George and family of Lake Park; Dorothy Elkins and family of Bell Buckle, Tennessee; Sherry and Earl Barrett and family of Clearwater, Florida; James Darnell and family of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Talmadge Darnell and Corrine Darnell Conaway and family all of Schererville, Indiana, Judy Darnell Hill and family of Merrillville, Indiana and Jerry Darnell and family of Fort Royal, Virginia; numerous other relatives in the middle Tennessee area. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Grubbs and nine brothers and sisters.

Services for "Aunt Bonnie" will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Minister Marvin Green officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 in the Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Park Church of Christ Building Fund or the Church of Christ of Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
