Bonnie Bell Carter, 92, of Lake Park died on Saturday, February 02, 2013 at the Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born on March 23, 1920 in Echols County to the late Arthur Herbert and Lula Lightsey Hughes. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Felton Coggins and Pat and Edwin Coggins all of Lake Park; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Mary Bell Carter of Statenville and Rickey and Lisa Carter of Nashville, Georgia; grandchildren and their spouses, Rodney and Stephanie Carter, Shannon and Paul King, Kevin and Amy Coggins, Mike and Penny Coggins, Jade and Kyle Vinson, Kelsey and Phil Corbett, Steven and Erin Carter and Alex and Barbara Jane Carter; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister Eunice Glisson of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar (Tince) Carter, and five sisters and three brothers.
Services for Bonnie Carter will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Garvie Nichols officiating. The burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4-6 p.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
