Bobby Ray Bourquine, 69, of Douglasville and formerly of Barney died Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was born on March 31, 1942 in Hahira to the late Hardy Franklin and Avalon Pearl Lewis Bourquine. Mr. Bourquine served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Barney First Baptist Church. He was an electrician with Delta Airlines and a soccer coach.
Survivors include his two sons and daughters in law, Danny J. and Jennifer Bourquine, Steven William and Stacy Bourquine all of Douglasville, four grandchildren, Alaina Bourquine, Kaitlyn Bourquine, Preston Bourquine, Adison Easter Love Bourquine, two sisters and a brother in law, Eleanor and Charles Williams of Douglas, Mary Jean Thornton of Barney, sister in law, Faye Bourquine of Barney, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hardy F. Bourquine.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Barney First Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Williams and Pastor Keith Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
