Bobby Louis Wisenbaker, 78, of Valdosta died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lowndes County on August 31, 1929 to the late Lewis Byrd and Cuba Carter Wisenbaker. Mr. Wisenbaker was a retired farmer and a member of the Redland Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Coretha Coody Wisenbaker of Valdosta, two sons, Gordon Wisenbaker and Edwin Wisenbaker both of Valdosta, stepson, Everrett Roark, Jr. of Valdosta, two grandchildren, Brittany and Marra, stepgrandchildren, Mark, Kim, Everett III and Jeff, two brothers, Harold Wisenbaker and Douglas Wisenbaker both of Valdosta, two sisters, Marion Johnson of Sparr, Fla. and Delita Barwick of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Alton Wisenbaker, stepson, Jerrold Roark and a brother, Wesley Wisenbaker.
Graveside services will be held at 4pm, Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Redland Church of Christ Cemetery with Mr. Bruce Barwick, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Redland Church of Christ.
