Bobby Lee Frier, Sr., 72, of Echols County died Monday, January 21, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Dasher on January 14, 1941 to the late Olive A. and Mary Lou Arnold Frier. He served as Pastor for the Church of God and was a member of the Swilley Hill Church of God. Brother Frier loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his daughter, Pam Burnett of Echols County, three sons and two daughters in law, Bobby, Jr. and Susan Frier of Echols County, Kevin and Tammy Frier of Albany, Philip Frier of Echols County, 11-grandchildren, 4-great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Smith of Valdosta, one brother and sister in law, Shelton and Joan Frier of Valdosta, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Carter Frier, two sisters, Linda Crouch Wetherington, Louise Stanley and one brother, Archie Frier.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Azalea City Church of God with Rev. Jonathon Church, Rev. Raymond Hand, Rev. Ray Dawson and Rev. Wayne Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
