Bobby L. Griffin

BOBBY L. GRIFFIN, 65, of Lake Park, passed away Friday, January 2, 2009, at Smith Northview Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1943 in Nashville, a son of Carl M. and Nina Rowan Griffin.

Bobby was a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He was always willing to help people in need and greatly enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Nina Griffin of Lake Park; one daughter, Samantha Hulatt and husband Shawn of Chesapeake, VA; one son, Robert L. Veir and wife April of Nagshead, NC; two grandchildren; one sister, Jean Waddell and husband Richard of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, Danny Griffin and wife Nancy of Valdosta; two nieces and one nephew, Patricia Kirby of Chesapeake, VA, SSgt. Daniel Griffin, Jr. and wife Maranda of Panama City, FL, and Leeanne Griffin of Macon; two aunts, Ida Commander and Thearis Rowan, both of Valdosta; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and four very dear friends, Mike, Don, Steve, and Art. He was predeceased by his father, Carl M. Griffin, and by two nephews, Ray and David Myatt.

Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Francis Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Eldridge Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery.
