Bobby G. Kent

Bobby G. Kent, 69 of Lake Park, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2004 at his residence. The Jennings, FL native and long-time Lake Park resident was retired from AmeriSource, formerly known as Valdosta Drug Company, and was a member of the Francis Lake Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy L.H. Kent of Lake Park, two brothers-in-law, Lawton Hughes of Valdosta, and Ronald E. Hodges, Sr. and his wife Lucille Hodges of Jacksonville, FL, a special nephew, Jimmy Hughes, and his wife, Barbara Hughes, of Valdosta, two nieces, Marilyn Turner (Buddy) of Lake Park and Monica H. Blaquiere (Brian) of Jacksonville, FL, three nephews, Wayne Hughes (Sheri), Howard Brooks (Lynn) of Valdosta, and Ronald E. Hodges, Jr. (Tina) of Middleburg, FL and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bessie Kent, two sisters and a brother in law, Mildred K. & Howard Brooks, and Mary Dell Hughes, and an infant brother, James Kent.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2004 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. Rev. Eldridge Lyons will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
