Bobby Futch

Bobby Futch, 60, of Valdosta, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Live Oak, Florida, the son of the late Jacob and Vera Futch. Formerly of Hinesville, Mr. Futch had worked for several years at Gold Kist and then Trus-Joist, West Hill Bait & Tackle as well as Shans Bait & Tackle. He loved the outdoors, was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He was a member of the Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife of 27 ½ years, Marilyn Hagin Futch of Valdosta; sons and daughters in law, Jacob Futch of Hinesville, Tommy and Traci Dorch of Montgomery, AL, Robby Futch of Hinesville, George and Kim Futch of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jacob Futch, Jr. and Josh Futch of Hinesville, Amanda Futch of Valdosta, Ashley Dorch and Alex Dorch of Montgomery, AL, Hailey Futch of Valdosta, Lexie Futch of Texas; one great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Lester Futch, Levis Futch, Eula Pye, Juanita Allen, Lavera Allen, Juanita Futch; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Futch, J.D. Futch, sister, Ruby Hart and daughter, Melissa Ann Futch.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Redland Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Watkins and Rev. Haines officiating. Burial will follow in the Redland Church Cemetery.
