Billy West Coppage, 71, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Shand’s in Gainesville, Florida from a sudden illness. Born in Hahira, on February 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Lessie and Maudie Biggles. Mr. Coppage was a retired U.S. Air Force MSGT. He was a member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Ruby Greene Coppage; daughters and sons in law, Sabrina and Franklin Bailey, Selina and Glenn Sturgis, Satrina and Scott Plyler; seven grandchildren, Jarod Bailey, Travis Bailey, Brittany Black, Bobbie Black, Billijean Black, Morgan Plyler, Austin Plyler; brother, Arrie Coppage, sisters, Rubye Boyle, Wanda ___________; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at 10:00 o’clock a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Terry Broome, Mr. Jason Roberts and Mr. Ray Joyner will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Christian School in memory of Billy West Coppage. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
