Billy Warner Mixon

Billy Warner Mixon, 82, of Barney passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Cobblestone Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Moultrie. He was born on June 4, 1935 in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Charles Herbert and Dorothy Snell Mixon. Mr. Mixon was a member of the Barney United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his family, playing golf, investing in the stock market and was an avid marksman.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Riley Mixon of Barney; three daughters and sons in law, Rhonda Mixon Gilbert and Jimmy Gilbert of Marietta, Donna Mixon Stull and Clark Stull of Macon; Dotti Mixon Davis and II Davis of Barney; seven grandchildren, Sydnee and Steve Roberts and their three children, A.J. and Amanda Gilbert and their two children, Matt Gilbert, Joshua Logue, Whitney and Ryan Alexander and their child, Riley Davis, Bryce Davis ; one sister, Jane Odom of Wrightsville and two brothers. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Barney United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Charles McDowell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barney United Methodist Church in care of Debra Folsom, 13629 GA Hwy 122, Barney, GA 31625.
