Billy Earl Slaughter

BILLY EARL SLAUGHTER, 71, of Hahira died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Panama City, Florida on January 26, 1935 to the late Henry Clayton Slaughter and Willie Mae Yates Slaughter. Mr. Slaughter was a retired welder and pipefitter and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Adel.

Survivors include three sons and daughters in law, Bill, Jr. and Cindy Slaughter of Hahira, Bobby and Melisa Slaughter of Panama City, Fla., Michael and Paige Slaughter of Adel, two daughters and a son in law, Belinda and Bobby Sharp of Hahira and Sue Collins of Adel, his grandchildren, Terry Lambert, Kim Parr, Dane Sharp, Ray Sharp, Chad Slaughter, Josh Slaughter, Cody Slaughter, Austin Slaughter, Kristin McDaniel, Austin Griffis and Amber Griffis, his great grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley and Danielle Lambert, Eli McDaniel, Ethan and Dalton Sharp, Nate Slaughter and Heather Parr, a brother and sister in law, Joe and Gladys Slaughter of Stapleton, Ala., one sister, Lucille French of Lake City, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Carter Slaughter and a son, Robert Slaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 23, 2006 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Burial will follow in the New Life Baptist Church Cemetery in Adel.
