Billie Pierce, 75, of Mayday, died on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Valdosta to the late John W. Sr. and Margaret Tomlinson Pierce, he was retired from Eddie Laws Furniture and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Pierce attended Faith Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pierce of Mayday; a son, Billie Pierce, Jr., a daughter, Pam Kiselica, and son Jason Pierce all of Mayday; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Cornelius of Mayday, Deana Limeburger of Valdosta; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Georgiana Pierce of Mayday; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Christine and Charles Wetherington, Betty and Rev. Franklin Butler, Dorothy Harp, and Frances Todd all of Valdosta. He was preceded in death by a brother, J.W. Pierce, Jr.
Services for Mr. Billie Pierce will be held on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
