BILL BOYKIN, 69, of Hahira died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 15, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Willis and Ruby Suggs Boykin and had lived in Hahira most of his life. Mr. Boykin was a retired roofing contractor and a honorary member of the Lobo Hunting Club. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Boykin of Hahira, his six children and their spouses, Andy and Sharon Boykin, Roger and Carolyn Boykin, Joe Boykin, Pete and Rachel Boykin, Amy and Ron Chason and Tony Boykin all of Hahira, 14-grandchildren, three brothers and sisters in law, Vinson and Judy Boykin, Julian and Sharon Boykin all of Hahira, Rev. Wayne and Cindy Boykin of Adel, three sisters and two brothers in law, Nell and Gerald Leveille of Hahira, Lucy Couch of Macon, Mytrice and Roy Clark of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Davis and a brother, Gerald Boykin.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, February 4, 2005 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. R. T. Castleberry and Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
