Beulah Daughtry Williams, 95, of Valdosta, died at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman after a brief illness on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Born on December 4, 1912 in Pelham, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Lucy Hailey Daughtry. She was retired as a weaver at Strickland Mills. Mrs. Williams was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She loved her church and was very active when she was able.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Johnnie and T.J. Timothy of Summerville, SC; sons and daughter-in-law, Jim and Jean Williams, and Jack Williams, all of Valdosta; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Stokes of Eastman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Williams; a grandson, John Benjamin Timothy; a daughter-in-law, Myrtle Williams; two sisters, Fastina Hornesby and Naomi Blakey; two brothers, Roy Daughtry and James Daughtry.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday February 24, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Alton Hardee officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
