Betty Wilder Williams Hurley

Betty Wilder Williams Hurley went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2017 after a long, extended illness. Betty was known as, My Love, Doll, Mother, Grandmother, and Betty Lou.
Born on July 28, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama to David Lester and Polly Ann Wilde, she moved to Ft Lauderdale, Florida in 1974, and then to Valdosta in 2010. Betty was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta.

Preceded in death by her husband, John James Hurley, and sisters Margaret Burkhead and Doris Neely, Betty leaves behind her beloved twin sister, Bobbi Horton, daughter, Karen Mosley (husband Mark), son, Glen Williams (wife Sandra), daughter, Kelly Lopez, stepdaughter, Patricia Curcija (husband Milan, deceased), stepdaughter, Sharon Yarnall (husband Bob, deceased), stepdaughter, Colleen Monroe (husband Roger), stepdaughter, Elizabeth Hargrove (husband Dave), stepson, John J. Hurley (wife Maylin), and stepson, Patrick Hurley (wife Ellen).

She will be missed by a host of grandchildren, Nicholas Dodson (wife Erin), Natalie Campbell (husband Chris), Alan Williams, Joseph Lopez (wife Michelle), John Lopez, Adam Lopez (wife Sofia), Fredrick Curcija (Chip), Milan Curcija (deceased),Chrissy Buckner (husband Zach), Rachel Woods (husband Zach), Elliott Monroe (wife Kathleen), Meghan Monroe, Jordan Hargrove, Olivia Hargrove, John Lucas Hurley, Catherine Joy Hurley and John Hurley (JJ) and her great grandchildren, Drew Dodson, Luke Dodson, Grace Dodson, Cayden Campbell, and Emory Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the mausoleum at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Dr. Wayne Robertson will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview in Maplewood. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the mausoleum. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
