Betty Touchton Hall, 81, of Valdosta passed away peacefully on April 8, 2011. She was born on September 22, 1929 and was the last surviving daughter of the late Joseph and Rosell Touchton. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Howard Stanley Hall, Jr. whom she married in 1946 upon his return from World War II. Their marital union lasted for 62 wonderful years and was blessed by two children, daughter, Deborah (Bruce) Bunner of Valdosta, son, Howard Stanley (Dana) Hall, III of Oxford, GA., two grandchildren, Howard (Sarah) Dugger of Dover, Ohio and Maurie Dugger of Washington, DC., three great grandchildren, Maisie, Tegan and Sidney Dugger. Her special companion and faithful caregiver was Valerie Gray.
She loved Valdosta and never wished to wander afar from it rural loveliness. Though Betty will never walk this way again, she touched many lives with her southern warmth and hospitality.
