Betty Sue Copeland

Betty Sue Copeland, 78 of Dasher, died on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. Born on February 22, 1926 in Williford, AR, she was the daughter of the late John Thirston and Edna Baird Traylor. She retired from South Georgia Regional Library and was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ.

Survivors are her daughter Katherine Freese of Memphis, TN; son, Richard Copeland of Dasher; grandsons, Jonathan Freese and Timothy Freese of Memphis, TN; son-in-law, Frank Freese of Memphis, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Prewitte Copeland.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2004 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
