Betty Smith Lieupo

Betty Smith Lieupo, 79, of Lake Park, died on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Fellowship Nursing Home in Valdosta after a short illness. Born in Barnesville, Georgia on September 11, 1930, to the late Lonnie Green Smith and Audrie Harrell Smith, she was self employed in home care and was Pentacostal.

Survivors are her son, Ronnie Lieupo and Debra of Dasher; grandchildren, Payton and Betty Ann NeSmith of Boston, Mike and Andrea Slawinski of Valdosta, William and Audrey Rogers of Lake Park, Shelley Lieupo of Clyattville, Johnny Lieupo of Valdosta, Lonnie Lieupo of Lake Park; great grandchildren, Matthew NeSmith and Palmer NeSmith of Boston, Andrew Rogers and Kaleb Rogers of Lake Park, Jon Michael Slawinski and Aiden Slawinski of Valdosta, Barrett Lieupo and Landace Lieupo of Lake Park, sister, Mary Royal of Marietta, brother, Joe Smith of Marietta, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lieupo was preceded in death by her husband, John Lieupo, daughter, Ann Lieupo, and brother Jack Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend John Fender and Reverend Brett Jarriell will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home today, Sunday, from 3 -5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia.
