Betty Roberts Lewis

Betty Roberts Lewis, 87, of Valdosta, GA passed away February 9, 2020. She was born July 21, 1932, in Brooks County, GA to the late Leon A. Roberts and the late Mozelle Phillips Roberts and had lived in Valdosta most of her life. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She retired from First Federal of Valdosta. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Durwood, her beloved husband of 71 years. Survivors include a daughter Janet Stump of Winter Haven, FL.; a son Steve Lewis of Ormond Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Stephanie Lewis of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer Stump Rutland and her husband, Andrew of Lake Park, GA and Abigail Lewis of Ormond Beach, FL; two great grandsons, John Rutland and Charlie Rutland of Lake Park, GA; two brothers, Raburn Roberts and wife Joy of Kennewick, WA and Phil Roberts and wife Karen of Greenville, FL; two sisters, Tommie Cazel of Santa Rosa, CA, and Dorothy Hoefges of Chapel Hill, NC, and many special nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Roy Roberts.
A private graveside service for Mrs. Lewis will be held at a later date at Campground Cemetery, Morven, GA.
