Betty Lovett Bailey

Betty Lovett Bailey, 83, of Valdosta died Friday, April 5, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bailey was born in Lenox on April 11, 1929 to the late Lonnie and Mary Mims Lovett and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Bailey was a Baptist and retired from ITT Industries Metal Products Division.

Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Jo Ann and Harry Lynch, Barbara and Ronnie Boutwell, Diane and J. Carol Sherwood all of Valdosta, two sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Joyce Bailey of Valdosta, Billy and Jackie Bailey of New Brockton, AL, 11-grandchildren, 25-great grandchildren, sister in law, Ruby Lovett of Valdosta, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Bailey and a great grandchild, Ashton Lindsey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2pm in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
