Betty L. Brady, 79, of Barney passed away Sunday at her residence. She was born on November 20, 1938 to the late Walter and Elizabeth Williamson. Betty worked for over 20 years at Holiday Inn in Valdosta as a waitress and later in life with the Lowndes County Board of Education. She was a proud member of Morven Church of Christ and loved her church family. She enjoyed working in her yard and was known for her immaculate yard and home. She was a hard worker and perfectionist that required the same of everyone she encountered. Betty loved her family, friends and care givers; she never missed an opportunity to share her wisdom.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sandy Brady of Gilbert, AZ; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Rick Warren of Barney; daughter, Tammy Reynolds of Alpharetta; brother, Glenn Williamson of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Albert McLeod of Barney; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Williamson of Pavo; sister and brother-in-law, Linzie and Howard Hansford; brother-in-law, Earl Smith; grandchildren, Clayton Brady and Lauren, Christopher Brady, Kayla Brady, Brooke Warren, Walter Warren, Clint Warren, Brandon Reynolds, Kole Reynolds Ross, Keatlin Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Michael Brady, Canaan Brady, Addysen Brady, Emma Grace Warren, Adam Warren, Kara Leigh Warren, Sara Beth Warren, Blythe Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton Brady, Douglas G. Williams, and T.J. Johnson; her brother J.W. Williamson and wife Ernestine, brother Maurice Williamson; sisters, Nan Sue Williamson and Frances Lewis and her husband Gene; sisters-in-law Peggy Williamson, Sidney Wilson and husband Mark, Edna Player and husband Collis, Reba Simpson and husband JT, Pat Wallis and husband Roland, and Luella Smith; brother-in-law, Roy Brad y and wife Ruth.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00 in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
