Betty Jo Brannon, 84, of Hahira died on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Cook Senior Living Center following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 13, 1929 to the late Sam and Eula Tyler Reeves and has been a resident of the local area for most of her life. She worked for most of her adult life and was a dedicated and hard worker at whatever job or endeavor she put her hands and mind to. A couple of places she dedicated her time and effort was the Levi Strauss Company where she worked as a seamstress, and in more recent times, she had worked as an Assistant Manager of the Amoco station. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Mrs. Brannon was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Carroll Millirons of Hahira and Deborah and Chuck Davis of Port Orchard, Washington; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Jenny Jenkins of Valdosta; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brannon; two sons, Sammy Jenkins and Greg Jenkins and a sister, Grace Jones.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Memorial Cemetery in Lake City, Florida with Rev. James Guthrie officiating.
