Betty Jean Moss

Betty Jean Moss, 76, of Valdosta, died on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Lakehaven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born on February 10, 1932 to the late James Elmer and Clarissa Lanora Harris. She was retired from South Georgia Medical Center after 31 years of working as a nurses aide in the newborn nursery. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Mel Rogers of Valdosta, and Patti and Hall Redfearn of Rolling Fork, Mississippi; grandchildren, Dawn Marie Stutts and Starla Jean Brown both of Valdosta; great-grandchildren, Austin Chance Ellis, Brionna Marie Stutts, and Brayden Alexander Stutts; a sister, Eddie Brogdon and a sister-in-law, Hazel Claypool both of Atlanta.

A graveside service for Betty Jean Moss will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City with Rev. Michael Bass officiating.
