Betty Jean (Clark) Lee, entered her eternal rest in Jesus on October 9, 2020 in Floresville, TX, just a few weeks shy of her 91st birthday after running a good race! Her children and other family and friends celebrate her homecoming reunion in Heaven with her beloved parents, James Pilcher Clark, Sr. and Francis Voncile (Adkins) Clark -lovingly known as “Pa” and “Gaybuddy,” her brother, James (Jim) P. Clark, Jr., and her sister Dorothy V. (Clark) Hiers.
Betty was born in Nashville, GA, and lived most of her adult life in Valdosta. For the past ten years, Betty lived in Floresville, TX. She was a talented artist who loved to ride and draw horses and painted beautiful floral arrangements throughout her life. She was a devoted mother/grandmother and was loved by all her many caregivers at Floresville Nursing Home. Betty, as well as her entire family, was grateful for the FNH staff’s care and attention. She loved to recite the Lord’s Prayer and sing songs, bringing encouragement to anyone who met her.
Betty’s surviving family are her son, Richard “Dickey” C. Lee, Sr. and his wife, Janis, of Hahira, GA, and her daughter, Mrs. Pamela A. (Lee) Rone from San Antonio, TX.
Her grandchildren are Rachael Lee Hall and Lanier Hall, Jenna M. Lee, Richard “Clark” Lee, Jr., Bonnie J. (Rone) Allen and “Joa” Allen, Elizabeth A. (Rone) McManus and Wesley McManus. Her great-grandchildren are Hannah L. Cowart, A. Molly Pinot, Zena E. Allen, Zara E. Allen, Dylan W. McManus, and Marlee R. McManus.
There will be a private, family service for Betty on October 17, 2020 at Sunset Cemetery.
