Betty Jean (Bass) Moseley

October 28, 1936 — February 3, 2018

Betty Jean (Bass) Moseley, 81, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 28, 1936 in Jasper, Florida to the late John F. and Eugenia Cumbass Bass. She retired as a beautician and was the owner/operator of Sassy Hair. Mrs. Moseley loved to sing gospel music and was known for having a very beautiful and rich voice. She sang on local radio stations in years past and even auditioned and was accepted with the Speer Family. Unfortunately, declining health would not permit her to travel with the Speer’s so she was not able to accept. She found great comfort and hope in the words and songs of Dottie Rambo, her favorite singer/songwriter. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Moseley was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Larry Moseley of Valdosta; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Steve Cason of Dixie, Georgia; three granddaughters and their spouses, Angela and Ronnie Cannington, Alicia and David Jackson, and Jessi and Levi Youmans all of Valdosta; grandsons, Cameron Ramer of Valdosta, and Ian Ramer and Kyle Ramer both of Minnesota; great-grandchildren, James Jackson, Kayla Cannington, Rebecca Cannington, and Lawson Youmans; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles (Chuck) Ramer; two brothers, Archie Bass and John J. Bass; two sisters, Mabel Sowell and Ethel Odom.
