Betty Jean Ausley

Betty Jean Ausley, 75, of Valdosta, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on August 5, 1930, In Tallahassee, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Mildred Mercier Bohannon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was active in the Joy Sunday School Class and WMU. Mrs. Ausley was also a member of the Withlacoochee Quilters Guild.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Ausley of Valdosta; two daughters and a son in law, Susan and Bob Lett of Greenville, SC, Peggy Ausley of Valdosta; one son and daughter in law, Carter and Michelle Ausley of Cairo; five grandchildren, Ryan Lett, Ashley Lett and Cody Lett of Greenville, SC, Jacob Ausley and Alyson Ausley of Cairo.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2005, in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Reverend Mac Weaver officiating.
