Betty Jane Patterson

Betty Jane Patterson, 91, of Valdosta, and formerly of Lakeland, Florida, died at Langdale Place on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, following a lengthy illness. Born in Harrisburg, Illinois, on October 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Alice Maddox Bargman. She was a homemaker and a Lutheran.
Survivors are her daughters and sons in law, Jane and Gary Vickers of Valdosta, Jill and Paul Gruber of Arlington, Virginia; her son and daughter in law, Thomas and Lyn Patterson of Johnson City, Tennessee; daughter in law, Carolyn Gillenwater of Jonesborough, Tennessee; grandchildren, John Patterson, Andrew Vickers, Max Gruber, and McKensie Vickers Elling; great grandchild, Aubrie Vickers.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Langdale Place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA 31602. McLane Funeral and Cremation services is serving the Patterson family.
