Betty J. Hendrix O'Keefe

Betty J. Hendrix O'Keefe, 79, died in Suwanee, GA on Friday, July 1, 2016, where she lived with her daughter and her family. She was born in Valdosta, GA on August 8, 1936 to the late Willie Franklin Hendrix and Ruby Mae Burdick Hendrix. Mrs. O'Keefe was a devoted wife and homemaker for 57 years. She was a former member of Gordon Street Baptist Church and Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta.
Mrs. O'Keefe is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kelly and David White of Suwanee, GA, her son and daughter in law, John and Katie O'Keefe of Lizella, GA, two granddaughters, Logan White and Lael White, one grandson, Jesse O'Keefe, her brother, Ralph Ellis Hendrix of Valdosta and her sister, Joyce Elizabeth Hendrix Bolen of Jackson, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Lewis O'Keefe, Jr. and her daughter, Patty Jean O'Keefe, and her siblings, Willie Burl Hendrix, Mary Helen Hendrix Conaway, Luther Andrew Hendrix.
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at four p. m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p. m. until 3:30 p. m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
