Betty Hamby, 84, of Hahira, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Fellowship Home in Brooks County after a long illness. Born in Sandersville, GA in 1922, she was the daughter of the late Fuller and Ada Jones Morris. Mrs. Hamby was a homemaker and a member of the Kinderlou Church of God.
She was preceded in death on Saturday, May 19, 2007 by her husband of 42 years, Ferrell O. Hamby. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hamby and her husband, Ferrell O. Hamby, will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Reverend Vernon Roop will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
