Betty H. Leff

Betty H. Leff, 86, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Brunswick, Georgia on November 26, 1922 and had lived in Valdosta since 1971. She was a homemaker and had attended Christ Episcopal Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Scott Schaeffer of Caledonia, Mississippi; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Tammy Leff of Valdosta and Mark and Teresa Leff of Adel; four grandchildren, Andrew Schaeffer and Laura Schaeffer both of Caledonia, Mississippi, Sarah Leff of Valdosta and Spencer Leff of Adel; a sister, Minnie Coulson of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Leff.

A memorial service for Betty Leff will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with The Rev. Peter Ingeman and The Rev. Tar Drazdowski officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County P.O.
