Betty Ellenberg Cooper

Betty Ellenberg Cooper, 80, of Valdosta went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving children on Friday, April 26, 2013. Born on November 8, 1932 she was the daughter of William Bernice Ellenberg and Eula Mae Ellenberg of Brooks County, GA. She devoted her life to providing a warm and loving home for her children, family and friends. Betty was an active member of the Loving Hearts Sunday School Class at Greenwood Baptist Church. She was an avid volunteer for the American Heart Association.

Betty is survived and loved by her children, Debbie and Ray Poe, Kathy and James Bonner, Lisa and Bob Lee all of Valdosta, Chuck and Jennifer Cooper of Leesburg, GA, grandchildren, Chris and Amy Yarbrough and Jason Yarbrough of Valdosta, Blake Bonner of Marietta, Ben Bonner and Coleman Miley of Valdosta, Matthew and Rebekah Cooper of Leesburg, great grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Yarbrough of Valdosta, brothers and sisters in law, Billy and Tilda Ellenberg of Valdosta, Ronald and Sherolyn Ellenberg of Brooks County, sisters and brother in law, Jeanette Faucette, Margaret and James Griffin of Brooks County and numerous nieces and nephews, her loving friend and caregiver, Joyce Norton of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at three p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Bass and Pastor Ken Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Brooks County. The family will receive friends Sunday from four until six p. m. at the funeral home.
