Beth Ann Lambert

July 24, 1960 — December 23, 2021

Beth Ann (Heddleston) Lambert, 61 of Hahira passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on December 23, 2021 after a brief illness. Ms. Lambert is survived by her daughter, Hannah Lambert Keesling, son-in-law, Drew Keesling and granddaughter, Eden Joy Keesling of Valdosta; and her former husband, Robert L. Lambert (Bob) of Barney. She is also survived by one brother, Tracy Heddleston of San Antonio, Texas. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Thomas and Katherine Heddleston of Austin, Texas.
Ms. Lambert was born in Ohio, and lived in Arizona and Germany, but lived most of her youth and young adult life in Austin Texas. She was first employed by the Texas Teacher' s Retirement System until she married and moved with her husband to Oxford, Mississippi while Bob attended Law School. She worked for the University of Mississippi and attend classes there until the couple moved to Valdosta in 1990.
Beth was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served the Lord in many capacities including the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary organizations. She served as the Organist for the Valdosta Chapel, off and on, for 30 plus years. She loved music and played piano, organ, harp and violin. She worked for many years for Georgia Pacific in Lake Park before retiring to be a full-time mother to her daughter. With the support and encouragement of her family, she returned to college and received her teaching degree in 2012. She was currently employed with the Lanier County Board of Education as a fourth-grade teacher. She was a passionate, dedicated teacher who truly loved all her students and strived to make a real difference in their lives.
Beth was a gifted public speaker and was an active member of Toastmasters winning many speaking contests throughout Texas and Mississippi during her time there. She loved musicals, plays and music of all sorts and loved spending time with her family, particularly her granddaughter.
Beth was a shining example of selfless service, love and compassion. She loved doing things silently for others without their knowledge. In addition to her loving family, she leaves a legacy of love and friendship to her many friends and students.
Funeral services will be at 10am on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment at Mclane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Following the funeral, the family will receive friends and family at the Lambert home, CheraOak Plantation, Hwy 122, Barney, GA from 1 pm to 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do an act of kindness or service for a friend or stranger this Holiday Season in remembrance of what Beth personified and would have done this Christmas.
